2018 IBS 2018 Score Nationals – Chris Gibby takes first place in 100 yard IBS Score Nationals with a score of 250-24X. Chris also took 6th at 200 yards with a score of 247-10X, for an overall 2 Gun finish of 5th place, using a Lilja 30 caliber barrel.

2010 Hunter Nationals, Wenatchee Washington. Greg Swezey was the overall winner at this match including firsts in the 100, 200, 300 yard grand aggregate, 200, 300 long-range agg., 100, 200 yard agg., 200 long range agg., and a couple of seconds in the 200 yard agg and 300 yard agg. Congratulations to Greg!. Other winners at this nationals in clude Elzie Scott who won the 100 yard agg., and was 3rd in the 200 yard agg. and 2nd in the 100, 200 agg. Dean Scott was first in the 200 yard agg. and 3rd in the 300. He was also 3rd in the 100, 200, 300 grand agg. and 3rd in the 100, 200 and 4th in the 200, 300. Glen Sampson was 2nd in the 200 yard long range agg and 3rd in the 200, 300 agg. All used Lilja .30 caliber barrels.

In 2011 Greg continued his winning ways in NBRSA Hunter Class taking the 200 yard and 300 yard aggregates along with the 200 – 300 Grand aggregate and the 100, 200, 300 yard Grand Aggregate as well as the 4-Gun Championship!

In 2012 Greg won the NBRSA Nationals 300 yard aggregate!

LW Moore fired a new USBR Custom Class record of 248 – 7X at Flatwoods, WV at The BCGOA range on 8/29/10, LW used one of our 6mm barrels chambered for the 6 BR in a Panda action and Edge stock with Euber bullets. Nice shooting LW!

The IBS 200-300 Yd. Championships were held, at Thurmont Conservation and Sportsmens Club, Thurmont, Md., on July 31-Aug 1. The Varmint Hunter Class 200 yd agg was won byEddie Harren as was the 300 Yd. agg. The grand agg went to Eddie, who was shooting his Rem 722 with a Lilja 17 twist 3 groove barrel in 30BR. 2nd place went to Sara Harren also shooting her 700 Rem with a 17 twist 3 groove Lilja in 30BR.

July 24, 2010, Sara Harren shot a possible new IBS Varmint Hunter 100-200 Yd. Agg record of 500-21X. The previous record of 500-16X was set in 2008. Sara was shooting a Remington 700 action, Lilja 3 groove 17 twist barrel chambered in 30BR. Rifle was built by her husband Eddie.
She won the Pennsylvania State Championships with this fine score.
On June 26-27, at the Delaware State championships, Fred Ridgway Sr. won the Varmint for Score grand agg and Eddie won the Varmint Hunter grand Agg. Both were shooting Lilja 3 groove 17 twist barrels on rifles built by Eddie.

The 2008 Season

July 19th & 20th at the IBS 200-300 yd. National Championships, held at Thurmont, Md., Sara and Eddie Harren shooting in the Varmint Hunter class, won the 200 yd.(Eddie) and 300 yd., and Grand Agg (Sara) competition. Both were shooting Remington actions equipped with Lilja 30 cal., 17 twist, 3 groove barrels chambered in 30BR.

The 2007 Season

Elzie Scott was the big winner at the 2007 NBRSA Hunter Nationals held the week of August 14th in Porcupine, South Dakota. Elzie won the 100-200-300 Grand Aggregate and the 200-300 Grand. He used one of our 30 caliber 17″ twist 3-groove barrels chambered by Greg Swezey. Great shooting Elzie!

Lilja barrels won the Varmint for Score and Varmint Hunter Championships at Mainville, PA on July 28-29, 2007.
Fred Ridgway won the VFS. And Eddie Harren won the VH shooting the same barrel he’s been shooting since last year.
Both were shooting 110 gr., 7 Ogive bullets made in Eddies shop.

Allie Euber set another new record in IBS Varmint for Score shooting with a new Grand Agg. record of 500 – 34x in Vermont and also a tentitive new record at 200 yards at a Maine match with a score of 250 – 18x! Allie has been shooting our .30 caliber 17″ twist 3-groove barrels and his own 120 gr. .30 caliber bullets.

The 2006 Season

Eddie Harren put on one of our .30 caliber 17″ twist 3-groove barrels and reports: “I won the Bud Pryor Memorial match in June (100,200 & 300 yds), the York County championships in July, The Maryland state 200-300 yd. championship in August, and the Maryland state 100-200 yd championship in September. I shoot my own 110 gr. bullets, made in Niemi dies, on .925 jackets. I have never owned a barrel as accurate as this one and have put on several others for other folks are reporting very good results. Thank you for a superb product. Eddie Harren.”

Hall Of Fame shooter Allie Euber reports that he has been experimenting with some new .30 caliber bullets he’s making and is shooting them in one of our .30 caliber 17″ twist 3-groove barrels. Allie says that: “This may be the most accurate rifle I’ve ever shot.” From Allie that is quite a statement. So far he’s won the Vermont State Varmint for Score Championship with a 250-25x and the IBS 200-300 yard Nationals in Pennsylvania. He said when shooting groups with it testing his bullets he has only shot groups in the .1’s and zero’s!

Stefan Karlsson reports that he won the HV Scandinavian championships using our 6mm barrel on a BAT action, details to follow.

The 2005 Season

Butch Fisher of Billings, Montana and Butch’s Bore Shine fired a potential new NBRSA World Record at the Tacoma, Washington range over the Fourth of July weekend.  Butch entered the Sam Wilson Memorial unlimited shoot and fired an amazing .1740 10-shot 100 yard agg!  Butch fired five ‘screamer’ groups in a row.  Mr. Fisher used one of our 6mm 1.450″ diameter barrels that he chambered himself.  He also built his own railgun. Congratulations Butch!

The 2004 Season

David Greene of Louisburg, Kansas won the Iowa State Varmint for Score and Iowa State 2-Gun Grand Agg.

Robert Raide set a new IBS Score record on 9/13/04 with his light varmint rifle firing a dandy 500-22X in the 100/200 meters aggregate.  Robert used one of our 6mm 3-groove barrels chambered for the 6 PPC.

At the 2004 IBS Varmint for Score Nationals Clark Shen used a 17 twist 3grove 30 cal in a 30 BR varminit hunter rig.
Clark was the 200-300 Nationals Varmint Hunter grand agg winner and the 200-300 National Varmint hunter 300 match winner. His rifle was smithed by Jimmy Myer. Clark was also the Pennsylvania Ironman Varmint Hunter winner in ’04!

At the NBRSA Hunter Nationals held in August of this year in Casper, Wyoming our barrels performed very well. Greg Swezey won the 100 yard event with a 250-15x and he also took the 100-200-300 yard Grand Agg! Greg used on of our 17″ twist .30 caliber barrels. And Larry Cribbs fired an exceptional 500-20x in the 100/200 yard Grand Agg! Larry tied for first but in the tie breaker ended up second. Great shooting guys! Larry used one of our .30 caliber 15″ twist barrels.

Kent Harshman of Palmyra, PA shot a new IBS Light-Varmint-For-Score record over the weekend of August 14th & 15th of 250-16X’s at 200 yards with one of our 6mm 3-groove barrels. It was chambered for the 6 PPC cartridge. This match was the “Maryland Long Distance Championship” held in Thurmont, Md

Butch Fisher of Billings Montana and the maker of Butch’s Bore Shine won the two-gun grand aggregate at the 10th annual Cowboy Classic in Cody, Wyoming over the weekend of July 17th & 18th. Butch’s agg was .2722 a very good agg for a range like Cody’s. He used two Lilja barrels on the light and heavy varmint rifles and did his own gunsmithing. Great shooting Butch.

At the Logan, Utah rifle and pistol club over the June 26 – 27th weekend Dave Tunbridge fired a new range-record in the Unlimited class using one of our .224 caliber barrels. Dave’s agg. was a .1544 and included a .045″ group!

In Hunter class NBRSA competition Elzie Scott was the man to beat at the Oregon Trail Classic. Elzie won all three yardages using one of our .30 caliber barrels. Great shooting Elzie!

Norm Jeffery beat all comers at the California state championship Heavy Varmint match in Visalia over the March 21st and 22nd weekend. Norm used a Lilja 6PPC barrel on his Veavy varmint rifle.

The 2003 Season

David Greene of Louisburg, Kansas set a new IBS Hunter Class/ HV 100/200 yard for score Aggregate record of 998-45x!

David Greene also won the Kansas State LV Grand Agg and the Kansas State 2-Gun Grand Agg using a Lilja barrel.

George Jacobs won the 16th Annual Firewalker tournement in Colorado this year. George won the Light varmint even with a possible new World Record with a .1874 Grand Aggregate! His performance in the Heavy varmint put him in first place for the 2-Gun as well. George used one of our .224 caliber barrels chmabered by Butch Kimmel.

Mainville, PA IBS Score Nationals, Alan Nyhus won the 100 – 200 yard Grand Aggregate in the Hunter Class competition using one of our .30 caliber 17″ twist 3-groove barrels! Al’s score was 494 – 24X. His barrel was gunsmithed by Stan Ware.

At the IBS Varmint for Score Nationals held August 9th & 10th Jim Saubier won the 200/300 event using one of our 17″ twist .30 caliber barrels! His score was a 493 – 10x. Great shooting Jim. And Clark Shen used a 17 twist 3-groove Lilja 30 BR barrel to win the Varmint For Score 200yd match in 200-300 Nationals.

The 2002 Season

Charles Fajkus won the 2002 Hunter Nationals 100-200 yard Grand Aggregate held in Raton, New Mexico in August. In doing so Charles won the 200 with a 248-7x and combined with his 250-16x at 100 yards had a 498-23X for first place in the Grand.

Cody Haslett of Salmon, Idaho sets two new NBRSA Hunter Class records, it is now confirmed. He fired the records on July 13th, 2002 at the Hamilton, Montana Whittecar range. The records are 100-200-300 yard Grand Aggregate score of 747-22x and a 200-300 yard Grand Aggregate record of 497-10x! Cody used a 30×47 Lilja barrel he ‘smithed himself. Great shooting Cody!

The 2001 Season

Hunter Class Benchrest Competition

Larry Bryant won the IBS Hunter Nationals held October 6th and 7th in Pennsylvania, using one of our .30 caliber 3-groove 15” twist barrels gunsmithed by Larry Cribbs. Larry was 3rd at 100 yards with a 249-12x, 2nd at 200 yards with a 246-4x and first in the Grand Agg. with a 495-16x. Great shooting Larry!

Lilja barrels dominated the 2001 NBRSA Hunter Nationals held at the Mill Creek, Kansas range in August. In the 100 yard even Cody Haslett of Salmon, Idaho beat the field with a fine 250-16x with a Lilja barrel gunsmithed by Jeff Feucht. Rolland Potter won the 200 yard event with an excellent 249-4x with a Lilja barrel gunsmithed by Mr. Larry Smart! Rolland also won the 100/200 yard Grand Aggregate with an outstanding 499-20x. The 300 yard match was won by Tim Naugle with a fine 248-4x. Tim’s rifle was ‘smithed by Jeff Feucht too. Rolland was the 100/200/300 yard winner with a 744-22x. Charles Fajkus won the 200 yard Long event. Excellent shooting and all of the winners used a Lilja .30 caliber barrel. In fact, in the 200/300 yard Long Range match, won by Tim Naugle with a 494-9x, seven of the top ten shooters used a Lilja barrel! Thanks guys for demonstrating our product so well.

The 1999 Season

1999 IBS Hunter Nationals

Larry Bryant of Oregon won the 200 yard event at the IBS Hunter Nationals held at Mainville, PA. Larry’s winning agg. was a nice 248-7X. Larry was also 2nd in the 100-200 Grand Aggregate. Excellent job Larry! His rifle was gunsmithed by Larry Cribbs.

NBRSA Unlimited Class Nationals, Raton, New Mexico August, 1999

Dave Tunbridge was the clear winner at 100 yards with an outstanding .2353 agg for eight 10 shot groups. Dave used a 22 PPC variation and a 15″ twist 3-groove Lilja barrel. His barrel was smithed by Butch Kimmel.

1999 NBRSA 1000 yard Nationals, Raton, New Mexico

At the 1999 NBRSA 1000 yard nationals Allan Hall (of Hall actions) won the Heavy Gun group aggregate with a Lilja .30 caliber barrel. This match was held at the NRA Whittington Center near Raton, New Mexico. Excellent shooting Allan.

The 1998 Season

NBRSA 100 YARD BENCHREST COMPETITION

NEW RECORD IN 1998
Allen Arnette fired a new World Record in the Unlimited class competition of NBRSA benchrest shooting. Allen put together a extremely nice little .115″ ten shot group at 100 yards at Roanoke, Virginia on the 6th of June, 1998. He used a 6PPC Lilja barrel. Super shooting Allen!

NBRSA HUNTER CLASS WORLD RECORDS

NEW RECORD IN 1998
Elzie Scott of Washington State fired a new NBRSA World record on the 13th of June, 1998 in the Hunter Class 100 yard competition. Elzie fired a tremendous 250-22x at the Idaho State Hunter match held in Salmon, Idaho. Elzie’s rifle was gunsmithed by Larry Cribbs as was Bill Small’s, mentioned below. Just three weeks earlier Elzie tied the existing record of 250-21x at the Oregon Trail Classic near LaGrande, Oregon. Elzie used one of our 15″ twist .30 caliber barrels.


The 1997 Season

NEW RECORD IN 1997

Bill Small of Entiat, Washington set three new NBRSA Hunter Class World Records in 1997 using a .308 caliber – 15″ twist Lilja rifle barrel! The new records are a 250 – 7x at 300 yards (the first 250 at 300 yds. ever!), a 200/300 yard grand aggregate of 496-12x, and a 100/200/300 yard grand aggregate of 744-19x.. The rifle was built by gunsmith Larry Cribbs of LaGrande, Oregon. Congratulations Bill! Bill also used this same rifle to win the 100/200/300 grand aggregate at the 1997 NBRSA Hunter Nationals held at Raton, New Mexico.

Lilja barrels now hold 4 of the 6 contested NBRSA Hunter class records!
