Cancellation/Change Policy

Cancellation:

We recognize that there are times when a customer needs to cancel a custom barrel order. A barrel can be cancelled at any time before the barrel is shipped. If the cancellation is made before the order goes to the shop prior to the start of production there is no charge for cancelling. Once production has started there will be a $50 cancellation fee per barrel. All orders go to the shop within two weeks of the time an order is received and that time period could be shorter. Our batch cutoff dates are the 15th of the month and the last working day of the month. Remember that a custom barrel order was started and is being made exclusively for the person who ordered it.

Changes:

There are also times when a customer wants to make a change to an order. If the change is made prior to the order going to the shop, as explained above, there is no problem making a change. Once an order has gone to the shop we are limited in what can be changed. Features that can be changed once an order goes to the shop would include a contour change (provided the original steel blank size will accommodate the new contour) and adding or changing flute length or eliminating fluting, adding threading for a receiver we thread for. There is no charge for these changes.

Features that cannot be changed once the order is in the shop include: steel type, longer length barrel, steel blank diameter, caliber, twist rate and number of grooves. Changes to any of these features mean that the barrel order will need to be cancelled and a new order started. The $25 cancellation fee applies and the calendar starts over on the delivery time for the new order.

Returns/Refund/Exchange Policy

Returned Barrels:

Occasionally a customer will decide after receiving a barrel that they want a different caliber or twist or contour. We will accept a barrel back for credit, a refund, or exchange if it is in the same condition as when it was sent to the customer. All returns must be within 12 months from the time the barrel was received by the original purchaser. Drop-in barrels must be un-fired. Barrels in this category must be approved for return prior to sending. There may be instances that we will not accept an unusual barrel back.

We don’t issue an RA number but this must be discussed by phone or e-mail prior to returning a barrel. All returns must be accompanied by a letter describing the reason for the return and your full name and address. A copy of a previous e-mail is fine. We will not remember a previous phone conversation regarding the return if the barrel is received without a note. Again, please, all returns must have a note with them.

We charge a $50 per barrel re-stocking fee on returned barrels that fall into this category.

Refunds:

All refunds will be made by check; no credit card refunds. We do not refund shipping expense to the customer.

We do charge for shipping on exchanges.

New first-time special contours, fired drop-in’s and octagons are not returnable.
