In July of 2005 Sally and I made our second trip to Pybus Point Lodge on the southern end of Admiralty Island, Alaska. Like our first trip the fishing and accomodations were excellent.

Here are a few pictures from this trip fishing for halibut, rock fish, crab and pink and silver salmon:

Sally caught a nice ling cod but we had to turn it back, the season was closed when it was caught.

Dan with a couple of nice ocean-bright pink salmon. We fished for these guys on downriggers about 45' down. We lost a few to salmon sharks too.

Our boat caught the biggest halibut of the week, a 200 pounder caught by Nan on the right while we were fishing for rock fish. Our skipper John is on the left side of the big fish and worked hard to make sure we got this fish on board. We were all fishing with light gear and 20 pound line for the rock fish.

Dan took a skiff out one evening after dinner and found this brown bear not more than a mile from camp. If anyone walks out of camp Alan advises that they carry a big handgun which he's happy to supply.
